Primary aluminum production in May amounted to 130.9 thousand ton
Produced volume grew by 1.4% compared to May 2009

The Brazilian Aluminum Association – ABAL – announced the primary aluminum production in May 2010. According to the entity, the production in May reached a total of 130.9 thousand ton of primary aluminum, an increase of 1.4% compared to the same month in the previous year. The accrued production from January to May for the industry was 634.6 thousand ton, a volume 1.6% lower than the volume produced in the same period in 2009.
