Brazil produces 377.5 thousand ton of primary aluminum in the first quarter of 2010
The metal´s primary production amounted to 131.7 thousand ton in March

The Brazilian Aluminum Association- ABAL- announced the figures of March – and the year-to-date production in the first quarter of 2010 – of the Brazilian production of primary aluminum. Along the first three months of the year, the industry produced a total of 377.5 thousand ton, with a drop by 2.9% compared to the same period in the previous year. Keeping the analysis to the result of March only, production amounted to 131.7 thousand ton, a decline of 0.9% compared to March 2009.
