Primary aluminum production reaches 1.5 million ton in 2009
1.6 thousand ton were produced in December
The Brazilian Aluminum Association – ABAL announced the primary aluminum production in 2009. According to the entity, 1.535,9 thousand ton were produced along the year, corresponding to a drop by 7.5% compared to the previous year, when the production amounted to 1.661,1 thousand ton. In December, 128.6 thousand ton were produced, a volume 7% lower than the production of December 2008.
